3. Grey Hat SEO: Just like White Hat and Black Hat SEOs there is one in between them. Its named, the Grey Hat SEO. This technique is actually a combination of Black Hat and White Hat SEOs. Even though it brings results at a lesser time compared to White Hat SEO, it is not a long-term methodology that legitimate businesses, brands and those aspiring to be one should go with. The techniques used in this methodology include cloaking, duplicating content, purchasing of old domain, purchasing followers, link buying, social media tweaking, etc. somewhat similar to Black Hat. Hence, upon identification and recognition of its implementation by the Google bots and algorithms there is always a possibility to be penalized. It would be right to say that in spite of having known about existence of three different types of SEOs, specialised/ good digital marketing agencies and integrated SEO service providers prefer the White Hat SEO method as it is an accurate method that provides long-lasting positive results for the brands as above
